I really enjoy reading this book about the Panama Canal, so much information, actual facts, so very interesting, educational and historical. I had seen and visited "Corte Culebra" and had Travel the Canal from the Pacific to the Atlantic, visited the Museum of the Canal, but didn't knew so many of the historical facts.
Beautifully written with lots of back-history and details of the main characters and their unique roles. Fascinating read. Wish thee had been more pictures at chapter ends.
A very good indepth account of the canal from it's inception from thought through the finish. What a wonder this effort was, I'm so glad to have been able to understand the whole picture before our trip...it made the experience all the more wonderful.
Very informative. Read prior to our cruise to the Canal.
This book is insightful, if not riveting, because it is written from an eyewitness view of the building of the canal.
Very well done and true to today, in spite of its being written as the Canal was being finished over 100 yr. ago.
